How about msg dbs that are 150--290 mb ?
the 25 largest ones are in that range,
the total number of msgX.db is 256, the
smaller ones are around 150k.
We have about 700 concurrent online c/s users,
and our poa is often slow, file queues building up,
then slowly down, busy threads go up to 30 or 40,
and often some 820E msg.db errors.
Running on a dell 2850 dual 3ghz proc, 4 gb ram,
gw volume is on a iscsi san with sata drives.
total gw size is about 150gb, we do auto-archive
to network drive after 180 days.
Is it time to move some of the users to a
new PO ?
Our other PO has msg.dbs around 100-200mb,
400 concurrent c/s online users, total size is
around 45gb., it works ok, seldom errors or slowness
like the larger PO has.
tks.
