we have NW 6.5 sp6 with GW 6.5.7

50 users

everyday at roughly the same time the PO utlization (processing/busy) goes
as high as 20 to 25:5 app connection climb to about 500 to 600 hundred.
this usually only last for about 15 to 20 minutes but the entire server
comes to a crawl. normally the busy stat is no higher than 2:0 then it
goes away and all is normal.

anyone have any ideas? thanks

Well, what time is that? Is there something that is happening? A bunch of
users logging in? Anything scheduled?

Mike posted this for me. Thanks for the reply, yes I do belive the
indexing is running then. How do I adjust the schedule for it to make it
do the quick indexes at night?

You more than likely have a index backlog problem. Look at the POA settings for quickfinder and tell us the start time and interval. My guess is that you are not indexing often enough, and so when indexing does start it's hitting harder than it needs to.
