Discussion:
Groupwise information does not exist on POA

GW6.5.2 on NW5.1sp7 - One domain - one PO

Getting the following error message when trying to look at the
properties of the POA:

"The GroupWise information for this object does not exist. A possible
cause is that replication is still in progress."

Alot of the TIDs point to problems moving users from one domain/PO to
another. Not my problem. Error started yesterday.

Would you suggest rebuilding the PO?

TIA,

Kathy

I would be concerned why an object that was fine is now "gone missing". If
you haven't done a rebuild in some time, that might be a good course.
As an aside, create another domain, and if it does nothing more that sit
there, you'll appreciate your foresight when the time comes.

DISAGREE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a single domain installation, and if ConsoleOne reports that no
PO info is availible, doing a rebuild could nuke it, causing the PO to
stop functioning.

Please open an incident with Novell ASAP, and after the fix, go with
Lindsey and create a secondary domain.

One more Q:

Was this reported when checking the PO from NDS or GW view of
ConsoleOne ????

If it was from the NDS part, try and do a graft.

Here is a little more detail:

In either NDS or GW View, when I try to look at the properties of the
POA I get this error message. When I look at the properties of the
Post Office itself it is fine. Just the POST OFFICE AGENT is giving me
the error.

Only thing I've been doing lately is deleting users who have quit.
Everthing seems to be working fine otherwise.

Do either open an incident, or restore a WPDomain.db from backup

And it is WPDomain.db, since this is where you are reading from with
ConsoleOne

I am having the same problem, only on a particular user. The GroupWise
account is missing completely, and I am afraid it has been gone for a
long time. When I look at the nds account, there is no GroupWise tab
listed. Should I just delete the whole account and recreate it? I am
afraid it won't let me recreate the GroupWise part even if I do that.

Thanks.
