Discussion:
GW reinstallation forced after server restart

When I restart/reset my NW 6.0 server, GW noesn't start correctly. MTA,
GWIA and/or POA (not always the same programs are affected!) send public
symbol errors.

To troubleshoot I have to disable the grpwise.ncf, gwia and gwtsa modules
in autoexec.ncf, restart the server and to reinstall the agents (direct
reinstallation of the agents doesn't work, because gwenn4.nlm resists in
memory and can't be unloaded).

After this the system runs well.

I tried to unload the gwia/poa/mta before restarting the server, but it
shows the same effect.

What goes wrong?

Holger

Well...NW6.0 has been gone in my world for some time now, but ;-)

The only thing I can think of is, that you install the agents to
one place (Sys:System), but maybe at one time somebody installed into
another directory, and that directory is somehow also put into Netware's
search path, and above sys:system....

At the console of the server, type "Search"

Then in all the directories listed, search for gwenn4.nlm

If that fails, please post versions of both Netware and GroupWise, as
well as the contents of grpwise.ncf and autoexec.ncf
