Do nicknames really work
internally?

Not consistently, did you change the actual Groupwise account name, or
just the last name in NDS ?

Does she show up in the system address book, if so, under what account name.

Also, in C1, Groupwise bit, highlight her user account, then right click,
GW utilities, syncronize

And if you changed her NDS account, you might want to run a System
Maintenance| Rebuild Indexes for listing on the user/po/domain -likely just
the domain. That will help push out -in the same day- a change.

Lastly, also look to your eDirectory User Sync set up to make sure its setup
properly, with eDir/NDS access, enabled MTA's and such. That will do
nightly 'sync' of eDir info to GW.
