Dear Sirs,

some users are running search processes during the same time in our
postoffice. It seems to be that this is the reason why free disc space is
running short. Is it possible to change that with a good configuration?

Thank you.

Best regards

Sorry, but fails to see the connection.. ???

A search doen't take up diskspace, AFAIK ?

Please start by telling os the OS your POA's are running, incl. patch level,
as well as what version of GW you are running, incl. patchlevel

Our OS version: Novell Netware 5.1 Support Pack Revision 07
POA version: 6.0.4

If its not the search process, what other life time process could take
disk space and leave it again? Sometimes it is only about 100 MB that are
taken and released again. Sometimes it is even more. Can i configure that
process?

We are in the situation that we want to move PO to a bigger server. But we
must prepare it a little bit and need time for that. On the old server we
are just living at the edge of full disk space. And that message nerves
everybody.

Some PO users told me that they had a telephone call to each other. They
were looking for some documents and were running nearly at the same time
some search processes and they got a lot "nearly out of disc space
messages". When one of them stopped his search, these messages stopped,
too.

Thank you for help.

Best regards

That's it, POA indexing.
Do you have a software distribution directory on the mail volume? If so, get rid of it.

We have a software distribution folder on the same volume where PO-Folder
and MT-Folder are. Is this what you mean?

Yes. Move it, or delete it (you don't really need if you don't install clients from it or as long as you don't create new GW object from within ConsoleOne).
And hurry to get new hardware <G>
