(too old to reply)

I have a couple of old post offices that have been offline for months.
The mta takes forever to load because the mshold folder for this post
office has 200,000 changes and updates.
If I remove this post office will the mta quit reading the associated
folder in the mta mshold folder ???
thanks
Probably. But why not just rename that folder?

Should I rename the mshold folder or just the folder associated with
that post office???
thank you very much
You can safely rename the whole folder - all subdirs will be recreated
as needed. When you are satisfied you don't need anything in the queue,
you may remove it.

Ahhmmmm...OLd thread....but been on vacation......

But I disagree with you here Mike

Renaming the whole folder, could cause items pending for other PO's to
be lost....

Instead, only the relevant directory should be renamed
